I have an M14x R1 and I had turned off AC charging so my battery was around ~25% charge.

I was using my M14x R1 on AC and there was a very brief power outage and it caused my computer shut off and reset.
When it came back on, it said my battery has undergone permanent failure :<

I'm guessing I'm out of luck, but does anyone have any ideas on possible fixes?

I haven't used the battery heavily and usually left it not charging around 25-75%, I'm hoping I don't have to bite the bullet and get a new one :X

    Thanks.

You could try to do a power drain (unplug the AC adapter and remove the battery, press and hold the power button for 30-45 seconds, then reconnect the battery and ac adapter and turn it on)

Agreed, this should help reset the board. The battery however is very easy to swap, costs about 70 dollars online
