    Hi,

    I just bought Crucial Ballistix DDR3L 2x8GB 1866MHz kit for my Alienware 14 '2013.
That memory supports XMP profile with 1866MHz at 10-10-10-30 timings running on 1.35v as a default setting.
But I can not find any settings in BIOS to manage memory freqs/timings. Also bios diagnostics utility (F12 and then Diagnostics) shows 1777 RAM speed.

I've tried few windows programs to check real clock, but I'm a bit confused, CPU-Z on memory tab in DRAM frequency field shows all the time changing from 900 to 925MHz, also it shows strange timings - 10-10-10-32 (it should be 30 at the end). On SPD tab of CPU-Z there are Max Bandwidth field with PC3-14200 (889 MHz) but it should be PC3-14900 for this memory.
AIDA64 also sees the maximum as ~1800 and actual timings as 10-10-10-32.

Is it possible to tweak somehow bios RAM settings on AW 14? Does i7-4900mq or HM87 support such memory? Am I doing something wrong?
Currently it runs fine and stable under any stress tests, but I don't understand why it does not operate on [email protected].

    Regards.

According to the internal manual the Alienware 14 supports up to 1600 MHz, dual channel DDR3L.
