I just received this great cooling pad, but I have a few concerns about it.

First off, this a fantastic cooling pad as its made of aluminum and it lifts the M14x for proper ventilation. But the fans don't seem like they're bringing my temps down. When I do some gaming, (Far Cry 3) my max temps for my CPU is 71 C and my max tempa for my GPU is 60 C. Then, when I use the fans with it, my temperature is the exact same.

Maybe I don't have the fans pointing in the right areas so I was wondering what positions would be best to place the fans?

    Thanks

i have the U3 (same thing but a lil bigger & has 3 fans). my temps haven't changed at all from using the cooling pad vs just sitting my M14x on some 1/2" rubber feet i bought at radio shack.

by being raised up a bit off the table vs sitting on it directly will help temps at bit but not a whole lot. the main reason the U2/U3 dont help much beyond that is because the fans dont push much air at all. if you really want to lower your temps get a 12v 92mm or 120mm fan and bolt it directly to the bottom of the cooler on the top left corner under the CPU fan duct.

those arent bad load temps ether FYI, but i know the fan noise can be pretty annoying.... :(
