Hi. Today I installed a mSATA on m14x, and i installed windows 7 (from original dvd form alienware). No backup, only a clean installation. Then i installed all the drivers with resource dvd...Is it possible that only windows+driver takes 29 gb? I can't belive that..my mSATA is 128, and now I have only about 80gb free.

Did you delete the old windows partition before installing the new one? If not, windows will keep a folder with some files from the previous installation under your C:/ drive, called Windows.old, if that's the case make sure you re-install windows to get rid of that folder as it will only give you trouble later on.

When I installed windows onto my msata on my htpc, I got it down to 17gb.

Remove all the unused windows things.
Set page file and delete hybernate. These 2 things will free up alot of space.
Pagefile is the same as how much ram you have, hyrbernat is also a large chunk of space.
