Hi all,
Ive noticed that this game starts to run very slow as the world gets built up,obviously as more is going on it will take longer but it has got really slow now between turns.
I tried correcting this by putting all my settings to medium but it has made absolutely no difference, i also get the customary high temps on my cores while i play.
Any particular setting other people are using to help speed the game up and any drivers they would recommend?
I would think this game is more intensive on cpu than anything but would expect the i7 to handle it appropriately
My specs are in my sig below
Any help would be much appreciated
Thanks

I play Civ 5 regularly with my friends and it loads slow for all of us (Gods & Kings especially). The reason it's slow between turns is because the AI's are having their turns simultaneously so if you experience a few seconds of lag, it's normal, because all the AI civilizations are moving (including city states + barbarians) AND all your alerts are being generated to pop up all at once when your turn begins. Since all 5 of us experience it, I'm pretty certain it's normal (we all have gaming machines, from gaming desktops to gaming laptops).

Personally, what I do is to set in the game options not to see the movements from the AI unless they are close because that's what makes the game super slow! You should try looking for that setting and bringing it down for better performance.
