    Hi Guys,

Just wondering if anyone has any idea's of what i can do before calling a dell technician on this one. Basically it doesn't matter what BIOS verison i use (normally i use a05, but i tried a08 and a03 also) when i go to change either the turbo mode on \ off or the RAM speed up to 1600mhz, i go to either save and exit, or save and not exit the laptop freeze's and i have to CTRL+ALT+DEL to restart the machine and my settings haven't saved.

I've also tried loading the default values \ settings and then changing the cpu turbo mode and it will error in exactly the same way.

    Any ideas?
    Cheers

Ok guys, just a bit of a play around, and found that the problem was having a SSD + secondary HDD in the laptop. I took both of them out and booted the laptop and i could change all the settings and it saved.

Put the SSD and HDD back into the laptop and all is working (although still cant change anything with them in, but it's a small price to pay for the speed of an SSD and the space of a HDD)

Just thought i might post this follow up if anyone else is having the same error, or anyone else that doesn't want to get one of the shaved apes out to brake there laptop for such a problem.

    Cheers
