I got my laptop arounds 2 weeks ago and ive been playing alot of league of legends in the past week. and i get random lags were the sound make a sort of buzzing noise and this lasts like 1-2 seconds and is repeated every 20minutes approx. its getting really annoying and i was wondering what was causing this?

    here are my specs
    i7 2670
    6gb dd3 ram
    1.5gt555m
    750gb hdd

    Razer Naga
    Razer lycosa
my razer lycosa keyboard is pluged into my pc using 2 usbs and Mic + Audio jack, and then my naga plugs into my keyboard and my Astros A40 plug into my keyboard aswell.

Haven't heard of it happening before but first thing would be to make sure you have latest sound drivers (and prob video drivers)

Also get a resource monitoring tool and make sure for some reason the resources arnt being maxed out.

also try unplugging your headphones and just using the laptop speaker to see if that makes any difference. If it does try plugging your headphones direct into the laptop rather than the keyboard. could be an issue with the keyboard re-producing the sound.

I have a razer lycosa as well and i had nothing but trouble using the usb and audio jacks on it, i prefer direct connect or a powered usb hub.

I have had those few times during BF3 multiplayer gameplay.
Its really hard to pinpoint fault as system shows no error and resumes just fine. I guess you try and pinpoint problem by systematically checking out possible faults (which are) :
    1) system overheat both CPU + GPU
    2) faulty NVIDIA Driver
    3) faulty audio driver
    4) Maybe some other program like defragment/antivrus etc accessing HDD at the same time

I am just guessing here since i havent tried diagnosing.

I had a toshiba satellite laptop before this one. It had ATI radeon mobilty GPU and everytime i would face such sound+screen freeze, my laptop would show me a BSOD and crash. But that was mostly due to problem with GPU or graphics driver.
So try updating/reinstalling nvidia drivers and see if it solves your issue?

I had this and reinstalling graphics driver fixed it. I had it during MW3 gameplay. At the same time I installed newest sound driver from Realtek site, just to make sure.

    Hope this helps.
