I was planning on buying this laptop and I want to know which of these is better and how much of a difference it is between them

Wireless cards:which of these are better?

    Killer™ Wireless-N 1103 a/g/n 2x2 MIMO for Gaming & Video
    or
    Intel® Advanced-N WiFi Link 6250 a/g/n 2x2 MIMO Technology with WiMax?

Video Card: would there be a huge improvement choosing the second one over the first one?

    1.5GB DDR3 NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 555M using NVIDIA Optimus™ technology
    or
    3.0GB DDR3 NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 555M using NVIDIA Optimus™ technology?

Memory: would the first be good enough to run old republic and skyrim good with no problems? (choosing the first one will save me money)

    6GB DDR3 at 1333MHz
    or
    6GB DDR3 at 1600MHz?

and Processor: I know the second one is better but would the first one be good enough for everything?

    Intel® Core™ i5 2430M (2.4GHz,3.0GHz,with Turbo Boost, 3MB Cache)
    or
    Intel® Core™ i7 2670QM (2.2GHz,3.1GHz,w/Turbo Boost, 6MB Cache)?

    These would be my choices.

    Killer™ Wireless-N 1103 a/g/n 2x2 MIMO for Gaming & Video
    1.5GB DDR3 NVIDIA® GeForce® GT 555M using NVIDIA Optimus

The 3GB will provide no noticeable difference - An unnecessary upgrade.

    6GB DDR3 at 1333MHz
    or
    6GB DDR3 at 1600MHz?
    Can't really confirm the difference.

    Intel® Core™ i5 2430M (2.4GHz,3.0GHz,with Turbo Boost, 3MB Cache)
This processor not only runs much cooler and provides minimal difference compared to i7.

    Hi and welcome,

I have finally made the move to desktop and I have a Red i7 M14x that needs a new home for a good price. I have re pasted everything with MX-4 so she runs cool as a cucumber, also have made several upgrades over stock parts, specs in signature. Let me know if you are interested :)

    Thank you Caladdon!
I will go with those (and I guess I would choose the 1333mhz memory)

    You're welcome.

Its good to hear from you again Ash my friend.
How did my M14x serve you?
I tried many laptops afterwards before finally settings on yet another M14x... because they are that good.
Must admit I miss the Nebula Red colour.

    You settling on a desktop?
Must be a beastly machine for you to sell of your Alienware.
I sold my machine once. Sincerely doubt I will ever sell another.
Only the M11x R4 could tempt me - And its not even been confirmed yet.

One more thing, would I need anything special to use a wireless PS3 or 360 controller on my laptop?

I used both wired Xbox 360 controllers and wired PS3 controllers.

Xbox 360 should automatically be recognised and a driver downloaded.
Ps3 may be recognised - If not - Use the free online software called Motionjoy.

    I haven't used them wirelessly.
