Buy my 14x today w/ 21% discount or sacrifice discount and wait till I have better info on performance/quality of the machine?

Wondering if I should go ahead and pull the trigger on a m14x today w/ Farmer's 21% discount. Or I can give up the discount, wait a couple weeks and see how the laptops are holding up from people who have already purchased the unit. I'm not a fan of being a guinea pig for new releases just in case there are issues (like with the initial release of the m11).

Unlike many other people, even the default config m14x is a huge investment for me, being a full time college student. So I can't throw money around without making sure it'll serve me well.

    Input? :D

If there is quality issue, it will not disappear until R2 or R3 which is likely to be 2012/2013. So there is really no point to wait for few months.

I dont know about the consumer law in US. Certainly in UK if it break down too many times I can complain and request my money back.

Wait couple of months you'll have good deals already.

If you need it, you should get it now. As long as you're a farmers insurance customer.

If you call in, they will require a proof that you got the farmers discount from farmers insurance. Because the they said, someone leaked it out.

Steven says hes getting his tomorrow. So if you can wait till Saturday or something maybe you can judge from his (well he said he'll do some unboxings and stuff I think) videos :D

I would order it today, and cancel if something negative comes out in the next few days. From the looks of things it could take a while before yours is even built.

Tomorrow is the last day for Farmers discount.

I'd buy now if I was you.

21% + -50$ coupon off AW laptops 999$ and up

I doubt you'll find a similar discount until you see the M14X in the dell outlet in a year :p
