    Bottom of m14x getting very hot?

    I noticed that the bottom of the m14x (as indicated in this photo) gets extremely hot, along with the area surrounding the PSU hole on the laptop. The rest of the laptop stays relatively cool. Is anyone else experiencing this?

    Isn't that where the battery is located? I feel like it might explode or something :\

    Make sure the laptop is on a flat surface and well ventilated during game play. The battery is closer to the palmrest and safe from heat.

    GabeZ is absolutely right, the battery is located closer to the palm rest.

    That part is where the heat sinks are. Nothing is going to explode so, don't worry about that, it is very normal for this part to get hot. Follow GabeZ recommendation and use the system on a cool environment and make sure none of the vents are blocked by anything, and use it on a hard surface.

    I would also recommend to clean the fan through the vents using a can of compressed air.
