Bootable USB drive not detected at boot [Alienware 14]

BIOS is unable to detect my bootable thumb drive.

These are the BIOS settings-
Secured Boot - Disabled
Fast Boot - Disabled
USB Emulation - Enabled
Device remains undetected in both UEFI and Legacy mode.

Tried creating device using USB Universal Installer, YUMI and rufus. None of them work. Tried with two different pen drives. Still no USB in boot menu.
Even Disk drive is missing from boot menu. Just my hard disk, and two network related things are visible in boot menu.
Have latest BIOS - A07

Am I doing something wrong? Is there some specific steps to be followed to boot from USB?

Edit: Booting form disc drive might work. Will try to boot from it tomorrow. The question still remains as is. How to boot from USB?

Tried a bootable CD, didn't detect.

Changed settings to following and it started detecting my devices - [only on right hand side USB port, doesn't work on others]

USB Debug - Enabled
Windows 8 Fast Boot - Disabled
Secure Boot - Disabled
Load Legacy Option ROM - Enabled
Boot List Option - UEFI
Exit saving changes.

Even though it detects the device, it gets stuck during boot. Maybe some drivers issue. BTW I was trying to run Partition Wizard CD.
