Eventhough the dell driver download website says that they are giving us the 6.3.0.6300 driver (issued in mid 2011), when you look up the driver versions installed on the computer, the driver shows up as 6.3.0.6060 (issued in mid 2010). Anyone has any idea where you can get the latest drivers for the bluetooth card, since dell is giving us something over 2 years old.

I don't have a problem most of the time except when my bluetooth mouse disconnects and I have to turn it off and on. Its not the bluetooth power save option since it is turned off and my bluetooth keyboard stays connected without any problem ever. It seems to be happening during high use times. So trying to find newer drivers.

Maybe a reinstall could work, remove the previous one, restart and reinstall. I haven't seen many BT issues lately. Let me know how it goes

Tried the re-install. Still doesn't work. Keep having the problem even after several re-installs.

Lately I upgraded to windows 8 and needed a reinstall of the Bluetooth drivers compatible with windows 8. Got them from here : Bluetooth Software Download | Broadcom , btw I also have an R1. I'd recommend you firstly delete the old driver and then install the new ones.

That's the site from the BT manufacturer, it should work fine but we normally release updates when an issue arises so if the current drivers are 2+ years old is because they have been stable.
