I just bought the following M14x off the Dell Outlet with the following main specs:

    - 1600x900 WLED screen
    - 256 SSD
    - 3GB GeForce GT 555M
    - i7-2820QM (8M Cache, 2.30GHz)
    - 8 GB DDR3 1600MHz RAM
    - Windows Professional 64 Bit

all for £1,152 inc tax and shipping. It is certified refurbished and assuming it all works this seems like the best deal ever, with a similar new M14x coming in at around £1000 more. Am I missing something or is this just a very very lucky find?

Those specs with a 4 year advanced warranty cost approximately $3,000 on the actual website so what do you think? You want me to do the math? The exchange rate is 1.5753 United States Dollars to 1 British Pound.

Sounds good! Was lucky enough to get my spec for £750 once all the cashback and refunds come in. But mine has 2.20ghz i7, and 6gb ram, and doesnt have SSD.

So looks like you bagged yourself a bargain there lad!

It's not a good deal at all. Don't listen to these other guys they are trying to trick you. You should send me the link to that purchase though...

I guess I always knew it was a good deal, I was just wondering if anyone else had a similar experience.

Btw, my refurb didn't show up when I filtered by "Alienware", only when I filtered by '14" laptop' - there's my tip of the day ;)
