I've had this issue several times, most of which solves itself without me knowing. But recently my battery life had gone down to 90% before I restarted my M14x and switched outlets for my adapter and it miraculously fixed itself.
I was wondering if anyone had the same issue and how they had fixed it. The problem seems to be the driver managing the battery energy consumption, since my adapter works fine (for now).
I usually run my computer 24/7 and the runtime before I restarted it to try and fix the issue has been 2 weeks, though the charging issue has emerged after longer runtimes than that, 6 weeks at most.

battery that stop charging on it owns usually means problem with the motherboard. I would recommend that you contact dell with this erratic charging behaviour. There relly seems no fix for this. you can only have some temporary alternative but no long term solution. Get your motherboard replaced. if it happens again, try to make a small video of it not charging so that incase dell asks for some kind of explanation, you can easily describe the problem

Well in the Bios section there is a sectcion that says something like "Ac behavior" and if you put it in disabled, the battery wont charge, and enabled, the battery charges normally, i use it because dont want my battery that stays charging all the time :)

Since OP mentioned this, i dont think its enable battery charger behaviour feature in the bios. This feature does not randomly goes on on and off on its own
