I've noticed that my battery charged percentage will lower when i'm using AC power supply, is this supposed to be the way its working? i disabled battery charging in setup (F2) and left it at 40% last checked, now its at 5%

Well I think most modern systems will sometimes use the battery for boost of power when the AC adapter can't provide enough power. For systems that come with a 65W adapter (not talking about Alienware, just in general laptops), they will sometimes lock the CPU at a lower speed if you remove the battery.

I would however think something is wrong there, but i'm not an Alienware guy. :D

doesn't sound normal unless the AC isn't strong enough. This happens for my 2011 MBP because the GPU+CPU draw is higher than the 85watt PS supplied with. But it only drops a little bit after a couple hours of crysis 2 or somethin

This shouldn't happen with the M14x. It comes with a 150 watt AC adapter. Are you sure u have had it connected 100% of the time or the connection to the power supply isn't loose? I'm not trying to belittle you just want to make sure.

Cause I have mine connected, charging disabled, and the battery still manages to charge but like 1% a day

I have it disconnected once in a while when i'm shifting it to another spot but it'll at most take 2-3 mins, that shouldn't drain so much power?

how do you check if your AC supply is providing sufficient power? thanks in advance.
