So, I am getting just a base model 14 as a replacement unit. I am really stoked about it, but I have been doing a few searches on the interwebs for performance or benchmark reviews and can only find the hopped up models. Does anyone have this model and could give me some ideas of how it performs?

Base model? As in the $1099.99 version with the core i5 processor and GT 750M?

The 750M scores about 2700 on 3DMark 11 @ 720p ( see a test result here). It's a pretty weak card as opposed to the 765M. The upgrade is totally worth while.

Yeah I have to agree, the base model i5 750m is incomparable to the upgrade.

well as a replacement for an m11x. I didn't have much choice and its a huge upgrade from that. But I will miss that little notebook.

It's a good upgrade from that, except maybe the i5 CPU. You won't have the 1080p screen, I presume? That can be good... The low resolution will result in much better FPS in games.

Either way, I'm sure you'll love it. Just pop an SSD in there and you're set. Congrats on the new system, by the way.
