    Back battery meter?

    i just bought a new alienware 14x. and there is a battery meter at the back side of the laptop and i guess it is to check the battery of the laptop when it is not on or without switching it on. But how does it work .. i tried pressing it and many s but . and please guide me how to setup the laptop for better performance and life . and what all must hav softwares shud i have.

    14x,4gb ddr3 ram,1.5 gb nvdia,i7 pro. intel

    You have to hold and press it relatively hard for the battery indicator to work.

    yeah, that thing doesnt work for me either. Reckon the battery is too recessed in the body for it to work! ah well!
