My M14 seems to crash whenever it enters the Hibernate state. It can cold boot and enter/exit Standby(Sleep) mode perfectly fine, but after being in standby long enough, the system automatically goes to hibernate. Next time I turn my system on, I'm greeted with a bootscreen indicating Windows crashed. Can this be cause of my SSD?

    WhoCrashed report:

    crash dump file: C:\Windows\Minidump\102311-20280-01.dmp
This was probably caused by the following module: ntoskrnl.exe (nt+0x7CC40)
    Bugcheck code: 0xA0 (0x9, 0xFFFFFFFFC000009C, 0x1, 0x0)
    Error: INTERNAL_POWER_ERROR
    file path: C:\Windows\system32\ntoskrnl.exe
    product: Microsoft® Windows® Operating System
    company: Microsoft Corporation
    description: NT Kernel & System
Bug check description: This bug check indicates that the power policy manager experienced a fatal error.
This problem might be caused by a thermal issue.
The crash took place in the Windows kernel. Possibly this problem is caused by another driver which cannot be identified at this time.

EDIT: Hmm... if I tell the system to go directly to hibernate, it wakes up fine.
EDIT2: It also is completely fine if I tell the system to hibernate after 1 minute. Scratch my original idea of what was happening. So I close the lid and it enters the Sleep state, if I wake it up shortly after, it's fine. If I come back later in the day, I'm greeted with a crash notice, and now I have absolutely no idea why. Any ideas guys?

This probably won't help you at all, but when I had crashes in windows that I "thought" were attributed to the SSD (never crashed until I installed one) - I updated my Intel drivers and it hasn't crashed since. Have you checked into that?

i have a similar crash it also happen when i wake from sleep and sometimes when i boot after a long search i found that it should be caused because some driver don't enjoy having a certain component running to cool

i too suffered from BSOD when in Hibernate mode ....I closed the lid and shortly after opened and got BSOD then it immediately shut down
When I restarted I got a message saying Disk Read Error please press Ctrl Alt Del to restart I did and everything was fine

Note I removed the Intel RST drivers a week ago to help the read write values on y SSD not sure if this is a contributing factor or not

The Intel RST driver certainly does cause some issue. When I imaged my old drive on to my new SSD, it crashed constantly.

I did a fresh install, and installed the drivers one at a time, with a reboot in between each. As soon as I got to the Intel RST driver is started crashing. I wiped and started over, this time omitting the Intel RSt driver and everything has been fine since.
