    Hello people.

I was just trying to set up my Supervisor and User Password in BIOS to have my PC pw protected, but user password doesn't seem to work. I have to use supervisor pw when I'm trying to get into BIOS, but user password doesn't do anything.

    Any idea whats the problem?

    Thank you

Does your PC prompt the password every time it turns on?

As in, when the system runs through BIOS and CMOS. (On the screen written as BIOS revision, And had a bar that loads. Does it ask for a password there? Like before you can even get to Windows? Or does it only ask for a password when you try to enter setup?

It only ask when I try to get to BIOS. So user password doesn't seem to work at all.

That is strange. I understand that supervisor holds far more rights than user, but thats about it. I'll look if my comptia book says anything then get back to you

I have both passwords set but I'm only ever prompted for it when trying to access the BIOS - not on a normal boot process.
