    Is there a specific setting you need to choose in the BIOS to enable this? I just put in a M4 SSD 6.0GB/s (I think anyways)... In the BIOS there is a SATA Operations. It was set to RAID, which I thought was weird since I am no using RAID. Should I set this to AHCI and/or are there other settings I should enable?

    WEI score for the disk is 7.9, so I'm guessing it's working okay...

    Just ran the update. Doesn't look like any settings in the BIOS changed, but maybe I'm overlooking something... Update went smooth w/o issue from A01 -> A03

    Yeah it is working fine but even i think it should be ahci.!
    You can try once on ahci and wei score goes down switch back to sata.

    My questions is why does dell not release the bios notes similar to like when they patch games, they include the fixes and what knot. Does anyone know what the bios improves?

    I was able to download from the Dell Driver Downloads link.

    Drivers and Downloads | Dell [United States]

    Installed without any problems. I didn't notice anything different in the BIOS settings either.

    can s.o. confirm that SSDs perform SataIII afterwards? I do not want the M14xR1 - A08 "feature".... :mad:

    You can solve it by opening the page in internet explorer and download through dell download manager(it only supports ie).!

    There`s a post here with two benchmarks before and after A03: All Powerful M14X R2 Bios A03

    result is a small performance improvement of the SSD.
