While studying the differences between HP and Balanced settings on my M14x R1, I saw that graphics options were maxed on Balanced, as was everything else important to gaming. So I've always used Balanced mode.

Anyone use High Performance? Does it give better results than Balanced?

I only ever use it to enable Turbo Boost, since I prevent it from going turbo with the Balanced settings. Gives a small boost when converting videos and other CPU-intensive tasks.

I use high performance all the time to stay connected on the wireless and to avoid any weird issues :p.

The same for me, I only switch between high performance and power saver (only if not connected), depending on the task (gaming, office, etc..)

I don't have the M14x, but why not use High Performance to max power all the components? I see no reason not to unless you go on battery.
