I am currently waiting on my m14x r2 in the mail (edd 07/18) and I have been looking for a good cooling pad for it. I have had several people recommend the CM storm pad to me. After reading up on the CM storm I have come to realize it is a huge pad(for up to 19 inch laptops). I want to know if anyone uses one of these cooling pads with their m14x. Is the pad so much bigger than the laptop it is bothersome?? Also would appreciate pictures if anyone uses the cm storm with their m14x.

Good question, I was eyeballing one and thinking of getting it myself. I am currently stuck with a too-tiny metal netbook cooler with one fan. The m14x keeps sliding off of it. My wife has a behemoth of an old Toshiba that would be ideal for the CM Storm and we could share it when one of us is not using it. Doesn't the Storm have USB 3.0 on it? Would this pose a problem for R2 owners experiencing the usual BSOD problems with those?

There is a version of it with USB 3.0, but it costs quite a bit more. What is bsod?
