Usually when I leave my computer unplugged in sleep mode over night, the next morning, usually 8-9 hours later, the battery life would go down to 80-85 percent from 100. I was just wondering if this was normal or if there's something I can do about it.

There's no need to leave the computer unplugged, leave it charged and drain it monthly or so. If in a few months the battery life sucks, call Dell warranty.

Did you check the event log to see if it perhaps woke up during the night to do some task?
Was anything left plugged into a USB port?
