Total Price was 1240.00 USD before Uncle Sam, any opinions, was I hoodwinked or did I get a good deal, This will be my first Alienware , already ordered BF3 for 30 bucks , I'm generally a console gamer, love my 360, but my brother got a XPS 15 and it makes my 360 look like a dinosaur. lol, so I'm making the switch, and yes I will be using a xbox 360 wired controller for BF3 as my keyboard and mouse skills are horrible.(been playing with a controller forever).

 

Congrats and awesome price. I have been waiting for a good deal that my friend looks like a great deal. To bad I deleted my facebook acct. I'm waiting for cyber Monday. I wonder what they have on Facebook tomorrow I might open an acct just to look and see.

Also a console controller is no match with a keyboard and mouse.

I got mine stock except for bluetooth and i7 2630, and it was like 1300. Plus another 300 for extended warrenty...you got another 100 in cpu upgrades, killer wifi (80) 3gb (100) 6gb (100)...etc..good deal!

best deal I seen was in the outlet. It was a maxed out m14x for 1500 with change in the outlet the rep held it for 12 hours. But I had to work overtime at work rep called me and left a message that she had to let it go. When I got home it was gone....BOOOO lucky person who got it.

They had special products on Dell's Facebook page for black Friday and cyber Monday, go to dell's Facebook page and to the left you will see the link for cyber Monday, until tomorrow. They also had deals on the 14z/15z xps

 

I bought this deal also, it is too sweet of a deal to pass up. My wife will be pissed when she finds out but it's worth it . I found a coupon for an additional $99 off which bumped it down to $1084.43 plus tax. The free shipping wasn't really an option, I'm extremely impatient and went ahead and dropped the $25 for overnight.

As pathetic as it may be, I've been refreshing the order status page about 20x a day drooling over the specs hoping it will say shipped! Let's hope their estimated delivery date is an over estimate, I want it now!

BTW, the Cybermonday deal was a joke. There was a coupon last week for $275 off the M17x R3 with the GTX580 which made it just under $1500. It was very tempting but I held out for black Friday deals. I'm glad I didn't hold out for Cybermonday, I would've been pissed!

 

Just thought I'd ask if anyone else checked their order status today? A few minutes ago switched over from In Process to Shipped! I'm about to go nuts waiting for it! I think I'll be taking next week off...

Great deal, Great Price. I too use the 360 wired controller for sports games on the m14x. Fifa 2011, MB2010, etc. Congratulations. Hope you like the machine. Its technical art IMO. BF3 runs very well and your gonna want to mouse and keyboard on that title. So save some quid for a decent gaming mouse. Again congrats and good luck!

 

yeah it was originally $1399 for base model but i got it for $1199 and then updated some specs and also used a $100 off coupon so yeah it was nice deal!!! thank you guys i will get it by tomorrow. i will also post an unboxing video as well on youtube if i will get time!!!

 

Not that black friday deal but just before Thanksgiving I snagged one refurb off the Outlet at just the right price for what I wanted. As best I can tell, the think looks and performs like brand new. I was surprised to see on on the Outlet with it being such a new model. One odd thing is that the dell service tag on the bottom says M11x (and thinks I have an M11x if I use that code on Dell's site) and the engraved plate also says M11x. My biggest surprise was how small it is compared to an M15x.

Oh.. the bulk of the savings came from the 25% off any Alienware desktop/laptop on the Outlet. I was checking daily without any luck of finding any Alienware laptops at all then on the last day of the coupon I checked regularly and mid evening started seeing an occasional M14x pop up then immediately be unavailable. Eventually I got one in my cart and bought it. The better screen would have been nice but I'm plenty happy with this screen.

Can't believe it! I got my M14X today and I am really disappointed in Alienware. There is a stuck pixel, the wrong wireless card was installed, and worst of all the GPU is toast. As soon as I powered it on the screen flickered and went to static. They have parts/tech coming but I can't believe it was shipped without a QA catching these problems. I'm curious if anyone else has any problems?

On a positive note, it got here a week ahead of the ETA. I was really looking forward to playing games all weekend. I've been playing BF3 between the display problems and it is absolutely amazing! Plays on Ultra without breaking a sweat.

i just got my M14x like 1 hour ago. everything looks good. i also made an video of unboxing it i will put it on youtube. But the only problem is that i noticed that on keyboard F4,F5,F6.... F12 keys sticks little bit. any suggestions on that???

im gonna disagree with mrblur on that one...sticking key are not really a huge issue....dont forget you have 21 days...i would wait it out just a little bit longer and see if anyone probs come up...until then enjoy!

currently downloading some games to test!! on my m14x

 

sounds like a game plan. Keep us informed IF(keepin my fingers crossed) there is any more issues that my arise.

 

i just played Combat Arms and i max out everything ran really good. No lagg at all it was very smooth and graphics were crystal clear!!!! loved it all. i haven't downloaded any fps programs so i don't how many fps i was getting but it looked like around 70 fps!!! i will test BF3 very soon.. if i get time tomorrow!! and btw my Function keys are getting better it just needed to get used to so i kept pressing each key for like 11 times and now it is better so far no issues at all!!! but next thing on my list is to see how hot it gets when i play games for like 4-5 hours.. i will let you guys know!!!

i played combat arms today for like 2 hours AND CPU didn't get that hot!!! But i noticed that if you play intense games the FAN KICKS really loud!! ahahah but good thing is it try to keep your laptop cool!!
