Any way to check/test the sub?

I just got my replacement refurb m14x and was wondering if there's a way to test the subwoofer... I'm weary because they already downgraded me to a 1366 res LCD from my original 1600 though they upgraded my HD from 500gb to 750gb and the ram from 6gb to 8gb... I'd still rather take the original specs with the higher res screen. In any case, I just want to ensure everything works on this replacement prior to my 21 day return period. I've noticed currently on the Dell/Alienware website, even the non-Sound Blaster audio is rated at 5.1... I know I only have stereo but there is a subwoofer though I haven't hear a single sound from it yet... =T

I already tried the Realtek software and trying it out at 5.1, nothing comes out of the sub even if I disable the center and rear speakers.

Unscrew the bottom plate of the m14x. If you want the plain and simple way to test it, play audio, and feel the sub vibrate. The sub woofer is a circle, almost the size of a quarter, on the bottom of the m14x, below the mouse, thats what i did to test it, just be careful of static.

Yeah I know how it looks like cuz they had a tech come by and replace my original's LCD. It appears fine, I just thought it wasn't working because there wasn't any sound coming out of it playing youtube and window system sounds but as soon as I started playing games, it was clearly evident the sub was working fine. :D

Yeah I was worried mine was working a while back, turns out I just got used to the great sound coming from it.
