I'm debating on grabbing cod or bf 4. I know its not really a good comparison, but with school and work I need a game that I can pick up and play for a bit then just leave for work or school. How do they run? I remember when Black ops 1 came out, most dual core CPUs struggled with it which is a shocker. Now with COD out does it run 60 fps on the alienware? Also BF 4 I heard it runs better than 3, any truth behind this?

    Thanks guys!

btw Call of duty is 20% off at Greenmangaming!

My advice would be get BF4 because the new call of duty isn't a great game to play at all . I bought it at launch because I enjoy both BF and COD but the new COD really does feel like a chore to me . I haven't enjoyed playing the game at all and I have 6 hours play on pc . I could be abit harsh on the game but right now I'm not enjoying it at all .

It feels very very choppy and the framerate seems to be abit all over the place . I really think I will wait it out a few weeks and see how drivers improve the game before I play it again . It just feels like a very badly coded game . Also I managed to grab this screenshot . Also right now on steam there is 5,819 in game and there is 2,792 playing Black Ops 2 . I know some of the players can't play ghosts because of hardware limitations but I think the amount of players in game says alot to me . Plus factor in there is no dedicated servers in ghosts either .

I will link this image I took today because it's Full HD :

Has anybody tried running BF4 on a 4700MQ/GTX765M combo? I'm considering the game with the intention of playing it on both my laptop and desktop, but benchmarks for my configuration seem to be nonexistant (understandably so, you can't expect them to benchmark everything).

From what I've read people are playing it @ 1080p with high settings at 25-40 fps depending on what's going on.

BF 3 and 4 both run great on my 14. Have most settings on high. Can't get a FPS log yet as msi or evga doesn't work with bf4 yet. But it runs smooth enough for my analisim.

I think this thread may have just saved me the money on COD. I was getting pumped about getting an FPS for my new AW 14 and after firing up MW3 I was even more pumped to get it. But after seing the screenshot and hearing "poorly coded" Im thinking Ill skip out on the COD series for good. Kinda worn out on it anywho.

I've been done with cod since whicher it was after modern warfare. They turned the PC version into a console game with no server browsing etc. no real advancement in graphics or technology. I still play cod2 online with some of my clan buddies I've been playing online with since the came came out in 2005 or whatever it was. Other than that bf3 and 4 have ALL my attention.

That's true, it seems like the coding is not the best out there. I don't usually play shooters but I do believe that BF4 is a great game.

If it can manage medium settings at 1080P with a 60FPS average I'd be happy.

Actually it took setting everything to low to make it hit 55-60 fps in BF4 @ 1080p. ofc you can tweak settings and u can prob mix and match.

The only thing stopping me from getting BF 4 is origin, and the stupid browser function. I just simply do not like it. I wish BF 4 was in steam, i'ts just much more convenitent for me :p I've had my fair share of problems with Origin, BUT their customer support is unbelievable compared to Steam's.

I'm still on fence, if I can do 1080p @ 60 fps in cod I'd be happy, or at least at 1366x768....

GAHHHH and ps4 is a week away...just too many things happening!
