    IMPRESSIVE!
That's what I could say. I spilled water on my keyboard yesterday morning resulting in 3 keys becoming insensitive. I dialed up the number in my manual (INDIA) and told 'em what had happened. They asked for my service tag which I gave and today morning came engineers from 500 miles away just to fix my keyboard. I already have used hp and sony laptops and remember having to wait a week to get the optical drive replaced. My next laptop would be an Alienware, no doubt.
Any other Indians having concern over Alienware's support, hear this: They simply rock!

P.S: I already had them come over once to check if the sub woofer was working properly. (silly???)

Meanwhile I am being asked to transfer my warranty internationally just so I can have a hinge fixed. I am not impressed so far.

I cannot comment about their services elsewhere, but in india, its amazingly good. You call today and you will have the problem fixed within 2-4 working days. They wont put the blame on you for any problem and neither do they waste your time by asking you to perform useless tests in order to fish for problems. If you are facing some issue, they will send an engineer with part, who will first identify the problem and try to fix it. But only gripe is that these technicians dont really have much hands on experience with alienware machines and it scares me to death when one of them struggles with a cable or cant seem to find where that extra screw was supposed to be. Dell should probably give them more testing units.

Hey glad to hear they took good care of you! Accidents like that are covered under the Complete Care warranty. BTW remember that if you need assistance, you can also send an email to [email protected] with a brief description of the issue and your contact info and our team will get back to you as soon as possible.

    1. my notebook is not there in the 'states for longer than six months.
    2. Global warranty claims are supposed to be applicable for systems travelling for less than six months. I have global warranty. (premier service, even.)
    3. I have to transfer my warranty again when it returns home, and international warranty transfers take a maximum of fifteen working days? This is unacceptable in my opinion, what if the claimant required the repair immediately?
    4. Again, this is global warranty. Why does it require an ownership transfer?
    5. Why does the transfer form label company as mandatory, when this is not a company notebook, nor is it registered to one?
