My alienware m14x is struggling to run deus human revolution on almost everything off/low. Anybody know the problem? im using the dedicated graphics card btw not the intel. I also reserved battlefield 3 and i would like to know if i can actually run it :X i tried the site canyourunit but it only detects my intel not the dedicated. any help would be appreciated. i also have the i5 processor and not the i7. Im not a computer guy so i dont know if its a big difference or not.

Yeah, you're not running the dedicated graphics. I'm running high in deus ex. Try right clicking on the executable and choose run with Nvidia graphics.

Yeah, right click on the desk top, and go into the Nvidia control panel OP.

You should see a list of programs in there, and make sure you have the dedicated GPU (GT555m) selected for the games you want.

You could even test it out by downloading GPU-z and load it up,, and watch what the core clock and memory load% are at on the gt555m, if they are not full blast, (with high performance and plugged in), your def. not using the dedicated card.

im in same boat. theres a thread about the game stuttering on pc version. think i have the link... hold on...

    edit: http://forums.eidosgames.com/showthread.php?t=121283

we are not alone. it keeps stuttering for me. even worse is i lowered EVERYTHING. and still stutter. ive helped a tiny bit by increasing pre rendered frames in nvidia control panel from 3 to 8.

if you have any luck with better results post back

Plug your machine in. It doesn't run anywhere close to it's potential on battery. Your GPU is HEAVILY underclocked on battery.

I get some stuttering once in a while (about once ever 3-4 hours) other than that I play high everything although I did have issues with it crashing when I had DirectX11 on. Once I turned that off, it worked wonders.
