Its been few months I am using the Alienware m14x laptop and very satisfied with its performance...but recently i noticed that the screen has developed permanent smudges on it.. I was unable to remove or clean those.. Infact the smudges on the screen are dead pixels. I have tow lines of dead pixels on my screen. I guess its because of the keyboard. I guess the keyboard is touching the screen when the lid is closed and because of heat from the keyboard a the smudges appears. Any solution guys...
The areas of the smudges have damage the screen and i can notice the dead pixels.

yea i'd call dell. they might make you buy accidental damage warranty, but then you are covered for pretty much anything that happens to your system :)

But if the OP's laptop is still less than 1 year old (or he/she bought a 3 year warranty), then his/her laptop will have that accidental warranty include with the 1 year standard (or 3 year) warranty.
