    Alienware M14x R2 Memory Upgrade

    I have read every topic :rolleyes: . But i can't find the answer for me. Please give me some advice. :confused:
    I have alienware m14x R2 its come with Ivy Bridge. I'm considering upgrade from 6gb (OME from dell) to 8gb with Corair Vengeance :cool:

    But I saw the picture of that package its said Compatible with I7 second ? how about the Intel I7 Ivy Bridge :confused:? So if i use that ram for my system it's should be overclock automatic ? :confused:

    Last question about the memory there are several choice for memory upgrade. So i don't know which one is the best follow these ram.

    What's the reason you're upgrading it for?

    The links you provided didn't work...or I just don't know how to extend it. Anyway, I would suggest going for the cheaper one because you wouldn't notice a difference as they are the exact same speed and timings.

    As long as you have the correct 'Memory Type' for your system, which you do, you'll be fine. When in doubt (or too lazy to open the system case), I use crucial's system scanner that gives you all the information you need to upgrade your RAM (and other useful information).
