Used to average 120+ frames per second on everything high on League of Legends, now i'm averaging anywhere between 2-20 frames on all low settings. I'm not sure if re-installing windows 7 was the reason for this, but i've downloaded the latest NVIDIA driver. I also don't have any of the alienware software anymore, but i don't think that would be the reason for the low fps drops. My laptop is not overheating, i've never had this problem before. I'm also in a really chilly room with a laptop cooler. It's frustrating because i don't know whats causing this. Any help? :s

Edit: Another thing is, the fan on my laptop seems to always be going hard. My laptop sounds like a jet 24/7.. Here is a pic of my temps playing a game of league.. about 5 minutes into gaming

I bet it's the temps, as dandan suspected, my eyes nearly fell out..

After only 5 minutes, your notebook reaches temperatures this high? The processor is already at the upper end, but the gpu
is way over what it should be... I guess your thermal paste is worn out, and I recommend to repaste your notebook asap, since
temperaturs this high can seriously damage the hardware components of your system.

You'll find every information you need in this thread, though it's
for m14xR2, but I think the teardown remains the same more or less...

When I play Battlefield and more intensive games it goes above 100 degrees celsius.. And thanks for the comment, i'll look into it. for now I just want to get rid of this laptop and buy something else. I've had too many problems with this Alienware laptop.

Overheating could be the issue, also... did you use the DELL drivers? These computers have optimus and they work better with the stock driver.

I haven't installed anything from the Dell site. When i re-installed windows 7, only thing i downloaded was the latest NVIDIA GeForce driver 314.07 or something like that

Well you need to follow the proper order to install the drivers and use the DELL ones. Probably your computer is messing up things due to optimus and it's running on the Intel Card when it should be running with the nVidia.

It's better to use the DELL drivers on this machine.
