Hey guys I just received my M14X today, I was wondering if there is something wrong with the lights on my alienware logo on the screen. In the AlienFx has a area where you can change the color of the alienware lettering on my screen, but for some reason the alienware light on my screen isn't on at all. Is there a special trick to turning the alienware logo on? I tried changing the color and nothing happens, maybe there's something wrong with the lighting?

There's no trick, it should definitely be on as long as the color set for it isn't black and AlienFX is enabled.

I have it set to blue and all of the other lights are on except the alienware logo. I've even tried changing it to yellow, no joy

I called, they ran a test and found that the LED is burned out. Their system is down so they can't do anything about it for 24 to 48 hours

BTW, did they remote control your desktop to find out the LED was burned out? If so, how??

yes they did, he went to C:\Program Files\Alienware\Command Center and opened AlienwareAlienFXTester. The test make sure your LED's can display red, blue, green and white. Everything lit up except the logo, it did not light up at all.
