Hey I couldn't find another thread on this, but has anyone had a bad experience with the power cord falling out of the laptop? Its occurring more and more often and i was just seeing if that was a design of the laptop or if its getting wore out.

I've had one fail. Dell replaced my mobo and cord at the same time.

It's just sliding out of the socket and loose? First time I've seen a post regarding this.

I would call Dell and schedule a tech.

How loose? Like if you turn it upside down, would the cord slip out on its own?

Maybe you can get Dell to send out the parts to your APO address. If a rep says "no", never hurts to ask for a manager too.

If not, then I would use duct tape until your deployment is complete.

Mine does not directly just slip out, but I do find it generally loose compared to other laptops. Sometimes Ill just push back on the cord a little notice its halfway coming out, and that's just sitting idle. I think its just due to it being such a large, perfectly round connector.

That is basically what its doing, It will only pop out halfway but it will be enough to kick in the battery. The M17x is in production, hopefully its not going to have the same problem.
