    Hey guys.
this already happened to me like 4 times when i play on my alienware 14 (2013) without being connected or charged, so i play for about an hour with all 100% charged alienware but disconnected and when it is at 30% or 40% then the screen gets all without brightness and the mouse stop working and it sounds as if i disconnected it.
Is it like a power save so i can have the 30% of the battery for something important or is it an error?
    Thanks in advance.

First of all, these systems are not designed to game on battery. You should not be doing that.

It's probably a power management feature holding back the system and shutting down the USB ports to preserve battery life.

A feature when your battery decreases somewhere 20-30%. Looks normal. Not sure if It will be disabled if you put the powerplan to HighPerformance.

The USB ports and Bluetooth stop functioning on the Alienware 18 I have all the time when I disconnect the AC adapter. I have changed all kinds of settings and nothing helps. I don't really care because I never use the Alienware 18 on battery and my main system is the M18xR2. If it is causing problems I would call 1-800-ALIENWARE to see about getting it your system fixed or replaced with one that works correctly.

It is completely normal indeed. It's to save power.
