    Hi all,

My new Alienware 14 has started to show signs of hanging, for example I click "Chrome" and it takes around 5 seconds for it to start up. Then another 5 seconds for the address bar to respond when I start typing a URL.

This happens to some of my other programs too like Adobe Reader.

Last night I did some research and some people have said it might be a RAM problem. I went into my system properties and saw that both "processor" and "memory" are "not available"!

A restart resolved the issue, but it's the first time I've encountered this phenomena.

I tried using only discrete GFX mode, and it seems to have improved the situation, only a few micro stutters.

I haven't clean installed yet, but before I do - are there any other advice you guys can give me?

Could fastboot be corrupting my memory?

Try a PSA, it will let you know if anything is wrong in the hardware.

    Thanks Luis :)

Out of frustration I upgraded the 750gb hard drive to a 250gb ssd and did a clean install.

So far no issues! Will report back if this happens again.
