What runs better on a new AW 14: Win 7 ultimate or Windows 8 Pro?

I would say it's a personal choice. Both of them run great, if you are used to Windows 7 you will like to have that. If you want to have the Windows 8 experience then why not giving it a try?

Hi there. Not sure if this is the right forum for this query but hope someone could help.

I was looking to buy an Alienware 14 in the UK with the 17-4700MQ and GTX 765M Graphics Card, along
with the 256GB mSATA SSD Boot + 750GB 7200RPM SATA 6Gb/s Hard Drive and 16GB RAM as upgrades.

This spec (with the optional SSD/ram upgrades) was available on the AW UK site a few days ago, but
the i7-4700mq/GTX 765 config is now not showing at all? Only the base model i5 and i7 gt750m is availabe to buy.

Would anyone know when the i7-4700mq/gtx765 configuration will next be available in the UK (if at all?)?

Or does this indicate that there's a potential refresh for the AW14 on the horizon? Perhaps worth waiting for.

    Many thanks in advance

Probably not on the 14" model. The 18" has rumors of having 4K because it offers desktop performance.
