    I recently bought my new alienware laptop 14 and it was running great and smooth. After 2 weeks when I hopped on my alienware and started playing games they started to drop fps until now. On minecraft I get only 25 fps now when I used to get 200 fps. On my other games I get only 25 fps also... I just don't know why this is happening. I updated ALL my drivers. I'm trying my best to know why I'm getting little fps now. Here are my specs. Intel Core i7-4700MQ CPU @ 2.40GHz . 8.00 GB RAM. 64 bit operating system. please someone help me. I just don't understand what is happening out of know where. God bless you all .

    Try hitting fn+f5 and reboot. Sounds like you running in the integrate intel gpu instead of te nvidia gpu.

    You might want to try re-installing your Nvidia drivers, it sounds like they aren't being recognized

    Wait I might be wrong or not. When I plug in my charger in my laptop everything goes well like skyrim runs good and minecraft.

    Yeah, the machine usually doesn't have enough power to run the nVidia on full when it's on battery.

    Gaming = Plug in!

    The PC needs to be connected to the power outlet for it to unleash it's full potential, otherwise it will be limited to the power that it can draw from the battery which is not enough for gaming due to the components it has.
