My friend just bought a brand new Alienware 14 the other day. Already he came to me with computer problems that I couldn't solve, so I thought I would ask about them here. He has the 1366x768 display with the GeForce 750M card. Basically what happens is when something like YouTube is run in Chrome, the video freezes for a few milliseconds every five seconds or so. The audio is unaffected, but the video "stutters" in this way. Additionally, I noticed that when typing constantly in the search bar on YouTube, the text would freeze for a few milliseconds as well. I know this issue does not occur on my Windows 8 machine. So what is the problem here? This is a brand new computer, nothing has been messed with yet. Why is this happening?

It's not just YouTube, it happens on any website and with any video.

I'd like to just say "it's a Chrome issue", but then why isn't it happening on any other computer that I know? I updated the computer, updated the graphics driver, nothing changed. Same issue.

Power plan set to power saver mode? Not sure what else to recommend other than the basics - malware scans first just to rule that out, then maybe removing the old graphics driver and installing the latest (check off the clean install option when you install the graphics driver, not overwrite / update).

Hey, sorry I never updated this; it turns out the issue was being caused by a website called blip.tv. Whenever he went to that site, Chrome would be "ruined", and it would be need to be uninstalled and reinstalled for it to work again. It only happened with Chrome, but the issue does seem to have been resolved. Not sure what caused it though or why it was only an issue on the Alienware and not on other computers.

I'm getting this too, especially when facebook is open, I've tracked it down to a Unity player plug-in with the facebook issue but it still is very glitchy...
