    Hello there,

I just updated to Windows 8.1 with my Alienware 14 and i noticed a display issue that i don't know how to fix. I'm not sure if the issue was there before the update since i got this laptop yesterday.

Basically the resolution seems off on chrome and games (everything is kinda blury, games aren't displaying correctly) but the deskstop and application icons seems normal.

Resolution is set to 1920*1080 so I don't know what's the problem.

    Some screenshots :

    Google Chrome (everything is blury).
    League of legends loading screen
League of legends in game : this is all I can see at once.

    Thanks for helping !

Have you tried reinstalling the video drivers? Can you change the resolution to a lower one? Does it look better like that?

could it be a chance you're outputing to an external monitor?
I faced similar problem before and solved it by switching to discrete gpu mode.
The cause of problem was the option "content type reported to the display" in nvidia control panel, which should be "program" instead of "full-screen video" (perhaps, If i recall it correctly, the problem solved itself after changing to discrete mode)
that option is only accessible under discrete gpu mode, under 'adjust desktop colour setting'
hope this is your case and helps you out

I installed the latest Nvidia beta drivers (via GeForce Experience).
I changed the resolution to 1600*900 and everything looks way better now ! I can play LoL without issue and chrome etc.. seem way less blury.

Nope i'm not but thank you for your reply !
