I recently received an Alienware M14x for Christmas, and it worked amazingly. I had no problems with AlienFX whatsoever.
Three days ago, I started it up. I was starting to wonder if my Alienware had started to malfunction, because only the center-right and right sides of the keyboard would light up. The Power button lit up, the top left Wireless and Caps Lock notifiers were lit up, and so was the ALIENWARE symbol. Yet the mousepad was not. There is no way to stop the mousepad from lighting up. I thought it was just my Color Cube theme, but the mousepad wasn't lit up. After I logged in and a few seconds after I logged in, everything lit up.

This has been happening and it's starting to worry me. Please, give me your ideas and feedback. Thank you.

Hmm I would try to re-install Command Center.

First, there is an option to stop the mousepad from lighting up - simply press fn+insert (t-pad), once it's deactived, it doesn't glow anymore... You can try the option
to reinstall the commandcenter, and if this doesn't fix the problem, I believe you have a loose wire, try to check and secure they're allocated and placed correctly.
I hope you can fix this problem, it seems annoying :)

Try uninstalling and reinstalling the CC.
    Here is how.

If that does not work then try the AlienFXTester.exe located in the installation folder of the Command Center and let us know if that was able to change all the colors as supposed to.

If you are using basic theme in CC, all the color should light up after you press the power button. But if you are using advance theme, some parts (center left and left side of the keyboard) of the light from the keyboard won't light up unless Alienware CC is loaded up after the boot up.
    Hope this help.
