Well my M14X R2 is working fine... except... I can't get AlienRespawn to work now that I've reinstalled Windows 7. I remember seeing a thread somewhere that mentions this problem specifically but now I can't find it. Can anyone help? The AW tech people are not able to fix it. I don't want to start adding programs to my system until I can make a recovery disk.

ETA: I should state that when it came from the factory the SSD was not set up as a cache, so with tech support and reinstalling W7, we now have that done, and perhaps changing the partitions or RAID or something may have caused the issues with Respawn??

Are you having issues creating a manually partition or reinstalling the program? As far as I know it will created the partition automatically into your HDD once you have it installed.

The SSD drive and partitions are set up correctly. I have downloaded the AlienRespawn program and it installs ok, but when actually running, it will gather info and all but when trying to write to the disc it quits every time and spits out the disc. I wasted many DVDs on this already! I'm sure there is a software issue here somewhere between AlienRespawn and the new install of Windows 7, but I don't know how to fix it. I did do a recovery disc BEFORE reinstalling Windows 7 and it worked fine, but I can't use that because the system had issues from the factory. I'm considering just trying the Windows restore route, or maybe some other 3rd party program that doesn't cost a fortune.
