After using MSI Afterburner with the following settings 700/1400 Mhz ..i have noticed that @ idle time...ie when am not gaming....my gpu idles at 51/135Mhz
is that normal....ofcourse it bumps itself up ...when gaming!!

Also ....do these overclock settings apply on battery mode also...or would it automatically switch back to 201 Mhz on battery.....I have the start MSI on windows startup and apply OC at startup ...settings turned on !!

It only use the 700/1400 when in game, mine when idle even worse than yours, it will either use only 50/100Mhz or switch to iGP. And I think it is normal for all Optimus machine, because it is design to conserve power usage.

You can see more info if you have CPU-Z installed, it under the Graphic area, change it to NVIDIA GeForce GT 555M and you'll see the default/Current usage, when in 2D App, 3D app.

    For my setting:
    Default/Current: 50/100Mhz (Default) / 50/135Mhz (Current)
    2D App: 202/324Mhz
3D App (My OC setting): 701/1402Mhz

For on battery mode, I'm not sure about this because I never play game on battery since I got this laptop.
