    I am interested in trying to install mac os on my 14r1. Anyone have any experience?

    As long as you run in optimus mode I see no issues

    OSx86 in general is a very long, complicated process to get done correctly. Be prepared to invest 40+ hours in tuning and patching to get everything working correctly, not to mention changing certain hardware. There is no optimus support in Mac OS, it uses its own proprietary switching technique. You WILL have to spend hours patching your DSDT and proper kexts. Updates will likely break something critical in the system like power management, driver kexts, etc.

    In short, OSx86 is not for the faint of heart or the impatient.
