So i decided to expand on the 14 a little. I was running 2 x 250gb Samsung Evo drives. I added a new EVO 250gb mSATA drive to increase it to 3 drives in raid 0.

    with two drives

and the small increase it gave. :)

Might I suggest snipping tool. :p

1.5 GB/s reads and 1.1 GB/s writes are crazy fast. My first SSD read at about 250MB/s (SATA2) and wrote at around 150MB/s and I was thrilled with the performance (can't remember the exact numbers). Is it noticeably faster than a single SSD? I've never used SSDs in RAID.

    Here's a single 500GB Samsung 840 FWIW.

Yeah snipping, was in a hurry grabbed my phone :) I'm headed out for emergency trip. Yeah I can tell a difference with raid 0. Some peole say you can't. I really do, that's why I'm running raid ssd's in all my machines. Two second boot time and virtually zero wait for anything love it.

Alienware had them in stock when I got mine back in october. Unfortunately AW/Dell is the only place to get the OEM bracket right now. Hopefully all these spare parts will start making their way out to other vendors soon.

I would try seeing if they will let you place and order and the backorder will hopefully be filled soon.
