    AC adaptor problem..

    Hello.

    Yesterday, I sat on my alienware m14x R2, and suddenly power turned of. I went to turn on the power, and when I came back, the adaptor wouldnt work! And I really want to know if it is a way to fix it, because I cant see that an adaptor can be destroyed by only that? Please, come with answers, it would really help!! :)

    Btw, I have tried to plug in the contact into another place, but it still doesnt work, Its just a problem with my adaptor, and my alienware wont charge!

    If you did mistake when I told that the power turned of, what I meant, you know, when the power in your whole house turned of, like your lamps, your TV, and stuff. So I went to turned it on, and then the adaptor wouldnt work :p

    Can some one please answer??

    If the adapter light(blue ring) won't light up then the adapter is broken. If it does light up but doesn't charge or power up your m14 then the port connecting the adapter or the adapter pin is probably broken. Either way it is a hardware problem and it's best if you just contact customer support so they can fix it for you.

    Please avoid bumping your post within short periods of time.

    The blue ring does noth light up.. are you sure that they are no way to fix the adaptor? Because they can be expensive here where I live....

    Is the adapter off at all times or does it turn off when you plug it to the laptop?

    If the blue light is permanently off the AC adapter is broken. You could try to get a new power cord and see if that does it, if not it's most likely the brick.

    The adapter is of all the time, even when its not plugged in. Right now, I am using an adapter from my old computer, and the computer is not charging, just keeping it awake, cause, if I take away the adapter, the PC will just turn off.. and I've also tried the power cord from my old laptop too, but it doesnt work, I think.. I dont even understand how my adapter got destroyed, I think it is hilarious.. -.- Well, I have to buy a new one though...

    If it is off all the time then the adapter would need a replacement. Hopefully after that it'll start charging as normal.
