    I was looking @ the alienware 23 inch 3d monitor: Alienware OptX? AW2310 23"W 3D-Capable Monitor

Its priced @ 399.00 plus 100 bucks for the 3d glasses bundle, etc. is it worth buying a 3D monitor now or should I wait for a price drop, similar to how the HDTV's were expensive @ the beginning then dropped significantly. Or do you guys recommended 3D television over monitors?

Sidenote, any truth to the fact that in a year or two we won't need glasses to see 3D??? Thanks

Don't even buy one until there's more support for the technology.

Don't buy a 3D monitor. Get a 3d TV instead. I have an LG 3D TV (5700UE) with the passive 3D glasses. You don't have to deal with the expense of active shutter glasses, and 3D works like a charm. Just install the NVidia 3DTV play software (you can get a 15 day trial), and then hook up your HDMI to it.

Avatar in 3D was awesome. Just get a decent player and you are good to go. Works great with games too. Movies need to be SBS (side-by-side) formatted.
