It's cheaper than the most basic model at the Alienware site, so obviously yeah.

I'd personally say no, it's the GPU that's the bottle neck, unless you do a lot of like processor/threading heavy applications

how reliable is Hidevolution company? is better with them or DELL? what's the difference?

i mean, i only see some custom settings, like being able to change the thermal paste and hard disk to a Momentus XT, yes is nice but, worth it? what about taxes, is the same? and i see the same price in DELL...how make money this company, i mean i only see the same? so i guess they buy it from Dell with a discount and pocket the profit

HIDevolution is for people outside of the US who want us pricing, since dell jacks up foreign prices so high. Their currency is worth more than us, and HIDevolution actually saves them some money

    It's not worth it, man.

Like a previous poster mentioned, the GPU will bottleneck the performance.

Use that money towards an SSD instead and pocket the difference :)

isnt the 2820 the biggest processor available via dell/AW?

cant be a good idea to UP the processor from their MAX offered one...especially if you arent going to see any benefits (since the GPU is the bottleneck for gameing as said above)

can only lead to issues IMO. THIS IS A FINELY TUNED MACHINE, I COULDNT BE HAPPIER WITH IT!

(feels like an aston martin in my lap :D )

Worth it? Not in the M14x, not in the slightest. I'd go so far as to say that even in the M18x with dual 485's you won't see much of a bump. Fact is, Sandy Bridge is just "too" efficient for current graphics cards.
