It is normal per se, but not ideal. Windows will usually automagically set your page file to equal your RAM size. But having as much RAM as you have, and hopefully you wont be paging to disk, so it ends up being a waste of space on your drives.

You can both reduce the size, and move the pagefile to a different drive. Go into system control panel, then Advanced System Settings, then click the Advanced tab. Hit the Settings button in the performance section, and then select the Advanced tab. Then hit the change button under the virtual memory section. Uncheck the "automatically manage paging file on all drives checkbox" and you'll be able to edit the section below.

In my 16GB system, I have 4096 min, 4096 max on my D: drive (256GB SSD), and 1024 min 1024 max on the C: drive (64GB mSATA). Some people have luck completely getting rid of the page file, but sometimes there are issues, so imho its a good idea to at least leave a little something.

Also, another tip for space issues is disabling hibernation. (you'll see hiberfil.sys take up close to the same amount as your page file in c: [this is a hidden file]). On my m14x R2 also with 16GB, hiberfil.sys was about 14GB.

    Hope this helps!

Doubt you even need 16GB RAM either...

But yeah, I set mine to 1gb with 8GB RAM.

If you go no pagefile or move it, be sure to delete the old one to get the space back. It's a hidden system file so it's not visible without changing the explorer settings.

I would just set it to a max of 2048, You actually don't need that much space taken away by Windows, you have enough RAM to manage your applications :)

I have only 8gb ram on my m14x r2. Would a pagefile of max 2048 be fine for me also or should i have it bigger as i have less ram? And what should the initial value be at?
