My Travelmate 3004 suddenly stopped working. Press F2 to get into the BIOS setup and it display "Entering SETUP...." but then it just sits there doing nothing at all! Then I have tried boot without hard drive and replace RAM. Nothing seemed to make any difference.
Already calling and asking to technical support person at acer servis center and they suspected motherboard problem that will cost around $250 wow...

Anybody here can give me advise the thing that I can try to fix the problem before I send this leptop to service center? Is this coz by corrupt bios or hardware failure?

Note : bluetooth light ON , press CTL-ALT-DEL can reboot system

    sorry poor english

The service center person is probably correct your notebook seems to have a failing mainboard which will mean you have to replace it thus the $250. There is nothing else that can be done if your mainboard is failing other than replace it. Send it to acer and they sort it for you.

try removing the battery,,,, see if that helps....

if not you may be able to run FIXBOOT from the CMD line

also known to resolve problems is running CHKDSK /F (or what ever to fix/repair) /r

if that too fails you could boot from the windows install disk and when prompted press R to repair current install...

and then there is always the fresh install
