    Hello,

I am looking for a new laptop and browsing around I found that the Acer aspire 5739G can fit quite well my requirements (playing not-too-demanding games, watching DVDs...).
However in the reviews I read that the display is disappointing, with little brightness and limiting view angles.

Given that one of the purposes of my laptop would be watching movies, I am asking if it's "not so bad after all" or if I really should forget about it.

    Thanks!

Well the screen itself looks allright, you can modify settings as you wish, there is no problem with that. However im experiencing some glitches with gt 240m, white/black dots:
    [IMG] (everything set to HIGH)
It does only appear on the higher settings, lowering core clock to 290mhz clears it but loosing 280mhz? no ty. Ive tried every i mean EVERY driver compatible with 240m and everyone of them returns some kind of error in some way (acer, laptopvideo2go.com and even nvidia itself), so i suspect this might be caused by drivers. This is NO dead pixels, gfx never passes 55celc, xp/7 x32. Anyone is experienced about this?
